Poem at Red Lion Sq.

I'm delighted to share the news that my poem "Not Because of You" is presented today at Red Lion Sq., along with a beautiful poem by Ken Hada. The fine audio recordings of the poems are part of Episode 24.

Red Lion Sq., which launched this past summer, offers free weekly podcasts of contemporary poetry. It was founded by its host and co-editor Amy Watkins and co-editor Jae Newman, both of whom are poets. You'll find their biographical profiles and those of their team here

Maureen! What a wonderful reading and recording of your lovely poem! I love the poem, and I love the way you read. As someone who only knows you from online, it was great to hear your voice. Nice!

Congratulations on being featured at Red Lion. Well-deserved! Good, good stuff!

Oops! I thought your poem was the first one and you were reading it!

But I went back and listened again After reading the poem here and then hearing it, I fell in love with it!

I'd still love to hear your voice and your own reading of it.

Congratulations!

Yes, I was hoping to hear your reading too.

"The leaf falls, not/ because of you" is splendid.

I, too, was hoping to hear your voice. That is one of my favorite poems you've written ... but so many of them are.

I will have to figure out a way to do a recording. I'm sure there is one. For this piece at Red Lion, I requested a reader. I think he read the poem quite well.
