Artist Phyllida Barlow

. . . I have always been very interested in fallen monuments.
. . . That's what fascinates me about sculpture—both its idea
of monumentalism but also its ability to collapse. . . something
that is slightly off balance and precarious. . . .
~ Phyllida Barlow

In the interesting video below, British sculptor Phyllida Barlow talks with Marc-Christoph Wagner at her London studio. A professor of art for four decades and a member of the Royal Academy, Barlow talks about "the language of sculpture", including her 2014 commission for Tate Britain, on view through October 19.
