Is Never Forever (Poem)

Is Never Forever

Begin any way, with things
that have no name: the sky
scorning the moon, its
impersonation hanging on
the last rim of light, you looking
in the window of the cab
shutting out her hand raising
a bid goodbye, dust on the skin
of the eye refusing to close,
the futurist's claim there
is never forever.

  1. This is beautiful. There's a melancholy to it that plucks the heart strings.

  5. Sky scorning the moon--that's a powerful image. Also, the raised hand bidding goodbye is wonderfully put. Very well done!
