Winter's breath eases
A branch of forsythia
Slips the sun inside

March wind: lion's teeth
Our hands, harboring caution,
Commit buds to beds

    Both are of these capture the season so well. I love forsythia, the first bright yellow buds of Spring!

    Delightful haiku, but given the frozen north in which I live, I need to stash them away for a month or so. This weekend we had 6 inches of new snow… no committing buds to beds for a while yet!
