Today's wonder is the rather unusual performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 on 167 theremins hidden in matryoshka dolls. The performance, by the ensemble "Da", was recorded in Tokyo, Japan, in 2011. The ensemble appeared on NPR on July 25, 2013. Enjoy!
Go here to learn about the matryomin. For more matryomin videos, go here. Also see my post of April 24, 2013, which explains the theremin and includes a performance by Pamelia Kurstin.
