Hard Kiss (A Found Poem for Valentine's Day)
Hard Kiss
Begin with the movies—
the set: the moon,
the best scene about color
and dreams and a bird
in a garden that asked
to be rescued.
After, hear about the encounter—
the version that couldn't be
written or read for radio, that made
a hard kiss a tragedy that time.
Years later, talk about the heart—
its shell becoming so old and thin
that when touched, makes believing
a philosophy of someone's certain love.
