Today, Thursday's Three presents a trio of videos from the sixth season of "The Artist Project", a wonderful series about what artists see when they look at works in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
✭ Below, sculptor and photographer Petah Coyne shares a narrative stitched on an exquisite bridal kimono:
The Edo-period kimono features Mount Horai. Its silk and metallic threads are embroidered on silk satin damask with stencil-dyed details.
The paintings, oils on canvas, include The Cathedrals of Art (1942), The Cathedrals of Wall Street (1939), The Cathedrals of Broadway (1929), and The Cathedrals of Fifth Avenue (1931).
