When someone says one
size fits all, you expect
a certain amount of give
and take, that allowances
will have been made to let
you choose your options
to loosen up and let out
as the occasion demands,
if taking in a little here,
maybe some more there,
leaves open the possibility
of having more than one
ending. Like anyone, you
trust the pattern each time
will work as it's worked so
many times before, never
questioning just how much
you might have to squirm
and stretch to pull the wool
over your very own eyes.

the last two lines say it all!
I like your interpretation of this photo.
So much said. So true.
What we all do, all too often. Pull the wool over our very own eyes...
Love your analogy here.
very enjoyable.
We obviously shop at the same store! Great write.
This is great, Maureen!
The myth of 'one size fits all' ... loved this!
I really enjoyed the direction you took with this one. Clever and well done!
=)
From "One Size Fits All" to "wool-pulling"...I'm interested in the ideas you stretch around here.
I've never believed the "one size fits all" label. Yes all that "wool-pulling"!
One size fits...um...most...
So easy to pull the wool over our own eyes......when it suits us. That fits all - much like the size. Great.
Sounds like my marriage. Quite brilliant, Maureen.
