Today Monday Muse shares two Forrest Gander videopoems: PaleoAcoustics and The Hugeness of that which is Missing (from the collection Torn Awake). Both were screened at the 2013 Conference on Ecopoetics in Berkeley, California (Gander is a member of the Ecopoetics Advisory Board), and were posted earlier this year at OmniVerse.
Gander, a finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize, is the author of numerous poetry collections, including, most recently, Eiko and Koma (New Directions Poetry Pamphlet, 2013) and the "hybrid" Redstart: An Ecological Poetics (University of Iowa Press, 2012); he also is a novelist, essayist, and translator. His work is terrific.
You will find text of a number of Gander's poems at The Academy of American Poets and The Poetry Foundation.
