Today's short is a sneak peek at Echolocations: Canyon. Join musician-songwriter Andrew Bird as he makes his way through Utah's red sandstone canyons. The film is the first in a series in which Bird documents his site-specific compositions in national and urban environments. Bird's 50-minute Echolocations is part of the "Sonic Arboretum" exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, which continues through May 10. The exhibition includes sculptor by instrument-maker Ian Schneller and sound by Bird.
