Thursday's Three on Poetry

Today, Thursday's Three offers a trio of highly anticipated poetry collections forthcoming in 2017.

Penguin Modern Poets Three: Your Family, Your Body ~ Available in the United Kingdom on January 26, this third installment in the Penguin Modern Poets series contains work by the stellar trio of Malika Booker, Sharon Olds, and Warsan Shire.


Penguin Modern Poets Two: Controlled Explosions, featuring the work of Michael Robbins, Patricia Lockwood, and Timothy Thornton, was released October 27, 2016. Penguin Modern Poets One: If I'm Scared We Can't Win, includes selections from the work of Emily Berry, Ann Carson, and Sophie Collins; it was published July 28, 2016.

Whereas: Poems ~ W.W. Norton publishes Stephen Dunn's new collection in February. Among other honors, Dunn has received a Pulitzer Prize (for Different Hours, 2001), the James Wright Prize from Mid-American Review, and an Academy Award for Literature from The American Academy of Arts & Letters.
