If It Is Enough
If it is enough
to cup two hands
To once hold
out
And once
bring back
Your hunger soothed
And if
to put parched lip
To goblet lip
is yet enough
To make one sip
again
No slip to last
How is it
you lie alone
As your heart arcs
in squid-ink
Your plaster cast
of shadows
Bared?
