New Year's Eve 2009 (Poem)

New Year's Eve 2009

The tears fall back
Into place,
Stored and numbered
For some other day,
A different night,
When loss might swell
With the count-down.

Hours from now
Will be time enough
To look back
For answers
For tomorrow.

Here and now
Is place-sufficient:
Just look around.

Hold the stillness
Before the coda,
Offer the hand
Before the asking.

Take what you can
Here and now.

just look around
with your heart
with Love
in tender moments
time stands
still

Thank you Maureen.

there is no other time. No place or being other than...

Here and now.

I take what I can and surrender the rest to fall with grace in Love.

Hugs -- and thank you my friend.

Maureen ... very lovely. I try to remind myself that this right now, this moment, this day, this place ... it is all enough. My job is to be feel the joy and the gratitude that this moment, even when I don't understand it, is enough ... and perfect.

Maybe 2010 will come with more wisdom and patience.

Boy. After reading what the four of us have written, I'm beginning to think we should do a joint blog... a diablog? a quadrablog? It's almost as if we're conversing even though we're writing independently... But perhaps that would be normal, given it's the last day of the year?

Still.
Wow.

And you used the word "coda". I'd like to think I had something to do with that!
