On May 11, I wrote about Colleen Haggerty and her inspiring goal to walk 100 miles in 100 days to raise funds for 100 prosthetic legs for amputees in developing countries. (To read my post about Haggerty, go here.)
I'm delighted to report that to date, Haggerty has raised more than $10,000 for the Prosthetics Outreach Foundation, and she anticipates completing her 100th mile in Seward Park, in Seattle, Washington, on July 10.
The POF invites supporters of Haggerty's campaign to walk with her as she completes her final mile. For information on the July 10 "Make Strides" event, go here.
Keep up to date with Haggerty's progress by following her at My Mile Walk.
Haggerty was profiled on Seattle's KOMOnews: "Woman Working to Give Mobility to 100 Amputees Worlwide".
Donations to help Haggerty reach her $30,000 goal may be offered here.
