Wednesday Wonder: Glass Harpist Robert Tiso

Today's Wednesday Wonder is glass harp player Robert Tiso. He shows us a new way to play Brahms's "Hungarian Dance No. 5".

Tiso tunes the wine glasses by filling them with a certain amount of water; he produces sound by deftly moving his moist fingertips across the glasses' rims. Tiso's online tutorials instruct in how to make a glass harp and how to tune the instrument.

You will find more of Tiso's masterful music-making on FaceBook and at Tiso's Website, including versions of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" and Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor".

Amazing!! And reminds me of Sandra Bullock's talent in Miss Congeniality, a favorite movie in our house.
