Today's Saturday Short features a performance by the wonderful singer-songwriter and mandolinist Chris Thile of Punch Brothers. Thile is playing the last movement of Bach's Sonata #1 in G Minor. He made the recording at Rockwood Hall in New York City for PBS NewsHour.

It's such a joy to watch him play. I wondered what happened to this talented musician after Nickel Creek disbanded. Glad to find him again, Maureen. Thank you.
