Using many images of her work, including her drawings, Gornik talks about her artistic process, sources of influence and inspiration (nature especially), concept of "binaries", materials, thematic details, and specific land-, sky-, and seascapes, including Virga, a recent addition to Smithsonian American Art Museum's collection.
Delivered at SAAM, Washington, D.C., on April 1 of this year, the lecture is the second honoring James F. Dicke II, the lecture sponsor.
