Cirrostratus (Poem)

Cirrostratus

a veil of ice
crystals crowns
the moon

a halo runs
round, sun
dog mocking

fields honeycombed
in golden curls
of new-turned earth

welcoming rain

i will cover
the whole sky
with crystals
slight
holding
light
around the moon

This took me back to the glorious way I felt when I read Ray Bradbury's "Dandelion Wine" as a teenager.
