Slant Sun (Poem)

Slant Sun

You slip on gold
gloves, garland our bodies
in the slant sun.

I slipped on "slip"! What fun to see "slipping on gold" turn into putting on gold gloves.
Like your previous poem, this one is a gem of images sliding into and out of each other, assonance holding it all together.
(Wondering if a different title might increase the surprises in the poem, by saving "the slant sun" for the final words.)

I blanked on a title, Peggy; your comment is apt. I'll try to think of another.
