Today brings the charming animated short, Omelet, based on Fiona Tinwei Lam's poem "Omelet", published in her collection Enter the Chrysanthemum (Caitlin Press, 2009) and in the anthology Poet to Poet (Guernica Editions, 2012).
The film's narrator is Fiona Tinwei Lam, who also wrote, directed, and produced the film. Based in Vancouver, Canada, Tinwei Lam is the author of the poetry collection Intimate Distances (Nightwood Editions, 2002); editor of The Bright Well (Leaf Press, 2011), an anthology of cancer-related poems by Canadians; co-editor of and contributor to the essay anthology Double Lives: Writing and Mothering (McGill-Queen's University Press, 2008); and author of the children's book The Rainbow Rocket (Oolichan Books, 2013).
The videopoem's storyboards and animation are by Toni Zhang and Claire Stewart. The music is by Ian Locke.
