Attentive listening is active, as Remen's quote suggests. What a great image.
This reminds me so much of Louise's post on the man at the mall.
Beautiful.
What a wonderful and thought provoking quote.
i dreamed last night that my sister lost her hearing. i was trying to communicate things to her. though i never thought of writing to her. strange dream.
yes, listening involves a lot of mind and heart attention...focus, acceptance, and taking the time.
sounds a little like Love, doesn't it?
Wow, profound... I'll remember this each time someone needs to talk
I am copying this quote to share with my Muse groups. At the end of our meetings we share our art pieces and free writes that go with them, dwelling together for that time in the "listening sanctuary".
