I've thought - and written - that the reason humans sometimes have trouble feeling we belong is that we can only see everything around us, but can never fully see our three-dimensional selves. We need to be deliberate but not desperate if we want to include ourselves in a meaningful way. We must learn to trust that we are a part of things, and that it matters.
