Today's short is the trailer for Yarn, a film from director Una Lorenzen of Iceland. The film is about three fiber artists who work with yarn — Tinna Thorudottir Thorvaldsdottir, Olek, Toshiko Horiuchi MacAdam — and Tilde Bjorfors, artistic project leader of the Swedish contemporary circus group Cirkus Cirkor. The documentary points up how undervalued and ignored such artists are because their art is deemed "women's work".
The narration is provided by Barbara Kingsolver.
