Helianthus (Poem)
Today's poem is from Neruda's Memoirs: Poems (T.S. Poetry Press, 2011).
Helianthus
un tournesol: turn with
the sun and see no shadow
on a day's path traced
flowering head the whirling
worshipper of unbent light

Ahhh. And my soul sighs in contentment.
One of my favourites.
Meditating for even a moment on a flower that "see[s] no shadow" refreshes me. Thank you for writing and sharing this. -Bethany Rohde
